Camping

CAMPGROUND – The Reservoir campground is surrounded by two water bodies – the Brazeau Reservoir and the Brazeau Canal.  The man made reservoir is fed by the Brazeau and Elk Rivers and contains pristine mountain runoff water.  The level of the reservoir rises throughout the summer so for part of the summer there are lovely sandy beaches.  The canal is maintained at a constant level so fishing is always available.

CAMPSITES – The sites are situated in the jack pine trees for privacy and enjoyment.  Group camping is available.   One group site can accommodate 35 units and has a large enclosed picnic shelter with fire pit/place, barbecue shelter, large grass area for recreation, beach area and lovely view of the water.  Some power available for appliances.  The canal group site can accommodate 12 units and is 17 km from the dam on a gravel road.  It has a shallow water beach, has a boat launch and is very private.
